Girls With Goals Grant  Recipients

These non-profit organizations boast missions that ensure girls K-8 have an opportunity to gain critical skills that will support their growth as women leaders.

 

 

2020 Grant Recipients

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids & East Central Iowa for a new career program for at-risk youth that prepares them for their future career

  • Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa for membership fees for 20 girls to participate in their Outreach Girl Scout clubs at Garton and King Elementary Schools in Des Moines

  • Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa to provide 14 athletic hijabs to girls for the Spring and Fall 2020 seasons

  • Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa to provide the funding for 15 girls to attend the JA Girl Empowerment Summit which encourages and empowers females of their future

  • Junior League of the Quad Cities Inc. to host a Junior High Leadership Conference to develop great women leaders

  • YMCA of Greater Des Moines, Girls on the Run of Central Iowa to provide 19 sport hijabs for participants
