GIRLS WITH GOALS GRANT CYCLE OPENS

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Girls with Goals Grant from Women Lead Change is now open for applications from qualifying non-profit organizations across Iowa. Application is through the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and all materials are due by Aug. 16, 2021, at https://www.gcrcf.org/grants/funding-opportunities/girls-with-goals-fund/

Qualifying non-profit organizations boast missions that ensure girls K-8 have an opportunity to gain critical skills that will support their growth as women leaders including:

  • Inspire girls to recognize their inner strength

  • Celebrate all the characteristics that make each girl one of a kind

  • Spark the interest and confidence in girls to pursue studies and careers in traditionally male-dominated fields

  • Empower girls of all ages through mentorship

2020 grant recipients were Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids & East Central Iowa, Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa, Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Junior League of the Quad Cities Inc., and YMCA of Greater Des Moines, Girls on the Run of Central Iowa.
