Time flies when you’re having fun!
As the first-ever Iowa Women Lead Change Director of Marketing and Strategic Development I’m holding onto my hat in this three-month whirlwind that is IWLC!
While we work to develop leadership development throughout the state, it’s my job to make sure those plans are sustainable. Along with our high energy staff, board of directors and inspiring local volunteers, it’s clear that we are never short on ideas or passion in making big things happen.
If you haven’t already heard, we now have a bridge. No, not a metaphorical bridge, but the actual Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge in downtown Des Moines. We are prepared to launch the Women of Achievement Award nomination process and place the first new plaques on the bridge again in 2019, honoring more historic Iowa women.
Things never stop moving at IWLC so we will wrap up 2018 with the Dubuque and Central Iowa Conferences and roll right into 2019. What lies ahead for IWLC? Our vision is to grow our reach to every part of the state through virtual capabilities to ensure that all of our constituents are receiving top-notch leadership development. Our brand and message is one that not only applies to the Iowa market, so why stop at the borders? IWLC has seen amazing growth over the last 11 years and we are poised for even more greatness in the years ahead.
I am honored to be a part of the IWLC team and look forward to meeting even more supporters in the months ahead.
